The Official Opening of White House Care Home

Thursday the 16th of March was a special day with White House Care Home in Letchworth Garden City being officially opened by Rt Hon Sir Oliver Heald.

The event was attended by residents, relatives, staff, healthcare professionals and members of the local community and was a great opportunity to celebrate the beautiful new care home that White House is, serving the local community. Attendees of the event were treated to canapes and glasses of fizz as well as the opportunity to look around the home and its many luxurious facilities.

Offering the very best in person-centred residential care, dementia care and nursing care for up to 50 residents, the home has been designed with the residents in mind offering serene community living, whilst having the reassurance that support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Manni Makoni, the Home Manager has the pleasure of leading the dedicated staff team and commented "It has been so exciting seeing the development of the home and being a part of the commissioning team and there was no greater moment than when we opened our doors in November and welcomed in our first residents".  Manni further commented "There has been so much interest in the home from both residents and staff alike and the buzz around the home is infectious. The local community has also been so welcoming and it’s been great to forge new partnerships and to ensure that our residents remain integrated within their local community".

A plaque to commemorate the opening of the home was unveiled by Rt Hon Sir Oliver Heald along with the cutting of a ribbon and cake whereby he was assisted by some of the residents who live at White House Care Home.
