Our Ladies’ Boat Trip

Residents on our Ladies Boat Trip

The ladies of White House Care Home in Letchworth Garden City recently enjoyed a boat trip on the River Great Ouse in Bedford.

Edna, Joyce, Marjorie, and Diana spent a sunny afternoon cruising down the river, having boarded the boat in Bedford. The boat was specially equipped to support older people and those with disabilities in being able to take part in this activity.

The ladies thoroughly enjoyed taking in the picturesque views and scenery that Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire have to offer, as well as just being out and about in the local community.

The ladies also kept an eye on the Captain, taking in everything that he was doing and asking him questions about sailing. They even got to enjoy a cup of tea with the captain himself towards the end of the trip.

We take the overall wellbeing of our residents incredibly seriously here at White House Care Home, and as well as providing exceptional medical care, we also go above and beyond to provide residents with a lifestyle that suits them.

Our activities team organise all the activities and events that take place and they take into great consideration each individual resident's abilities and interests in order to provide them with tailored experiences.
