Celebrating Our First Easter

residents on a community visit

Our residents, their loved ones, and staff members celebrated the very first Easter at White House Care Home in Letchworth Garden City earlier this month.

To help us celebrate, our Chef, George, baked the most amazing cake that we all enjoyed here at the care home. Our residents even got involved with the Easter baking and made some delicious Easter-themed chocolate rice crispy cupcakes.

We also held a variety of other activities such as a trip to our local garden centre and lots of Easter arts and crafts.

During the bank holiday weekend, we were very fortunate to have such nice weather and therefore we arrange daily visits to our local, where residents enjoyed some fresh air and vitamin D, leaving us all very excited for the warmer months ahead.

It has been a fantastic few weeks, enjoying the beautiful weather, getting some exercise outdoors, seeing the spring flowers, and meeting the local residents of Letchworth Garden City. It has certainly benefitted the mental wellbeing of our residents and made them feel more included in their local community.

We look forward to getting out and about in the community more and celebrating many more occasions together as a home.
