An Insight into the Development of White House Care Home

Onside Visit During the Build

On Thursday 24th March, the development site of White House Care Home was visited by the team to see how work was progressing with the 50-bed home. Kelly Walker, who is Regional Director, was joined by Rachel Dryden, Divisional Director, Amy Cunningham, HR Business Partner, and Fiona Radford, the Head of Sales & Marketing to get an insight into where the home currently is with its development in preparation for the grand opening this Summer 2022.

The home, which is set in a residential area of Letchworth Garden City, is undergoing a total refurbishment, with plans to transform the property into a beautiful, boutique-style care home, where residents will have access to exceptional around-the-clock care, and a number of high-standard facilities which will aid in helping residents live a varied and fulfilled lifestyle.

The tour of the development began in the home's reception, which is a warm and inviting space set at the heart of the home, perfect for welcoming visitors. All rooms are going to be completely renovated including the bedrooms, which will all offer state-of-the-art ensuites and all the modern comforts that future residents will need.

During the team's visit, they also got to see some of these facilities in their transformation, such as the Hair & Nail Salon which features a beautiful bay window, and the Lounge located on the ground floor, which opens up to an orangery that has direct access to the outside areas.

Walking around the home, the team began to get a real feel for just how light and airy this home will be, thanks to its abundance of windows letting in natural sunlight. Its clear to see that the future of this home is going to be bright, and everyone involved with the development of this home is looking forward to welcoming its first residents later this Summer.
