A Festive Season Full of Joy at White House Care Home

our fundraiser setup

As the holiday season approaches, the residents of White House Care Home are buzzing with excitement and holiday spirit. Anticipation is building for the highlight of the season: Santa’s arrival during our annual Christmas party on December 21st. Until then, our residents have been joyfully decking the halls with dazzling lights, ornaments, and a grand Christmas tree, making the home feel truly magical—“it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!”

Spreading Cheer to Those in Need
In the true spirit of giving, our care home has joined the Feed Up Warm Up appeal to help those in need during these challenging times. Residents have enthusiastically contributed by creating reindeer food packs and hot chocolate kits, which are being sold to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It’s heartwarming to see their dedication and creativity at work, knowing that their efforts will bring smiles to many faces.

Magical Visitors and Festive Fun
The festive excitement kicked off with a special visit from adorable miniature horses—our very own “mini reindeer” dressed in charming outfits. Their presence brought joy and laughter to everyone. But that’s just the beginning! Our schedule is packed with holiday-themed activities, including Christmas carol singers, a lively bingo session, and special entertainment that promises to make the season unforgettable.

Celebrating Hanukkah
In addition to Christmas festivities, we’re also preparing to celebrate Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights. Starting on December 25th and lasting until January 2nd, this eight-day celebration will include lighting the menorah, sharing stories, and enjoying traditional treats. It’s a wonderful opportunity to honour the diversity of traditions within our community.

It is important to us at White House Care Home that our residents make the most of each day and continue to do the things they love most. Our activities team strive to ensure residents have a variety of activities that contribute to both their physical and mental well-being.

As the year comes to a close, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating the joy, warmth, and togetherness that define this special season. Pop in or get in touch with a member of our compassionate team to find out more and see if White House is the ideal care home for you or your loved one.
